The new AFP membership categories are here!

April 12, 2012

Are you working at a small nonprofit?  Are you in college or under 30?  Do you work for a very large organization with a large fundraising department?  If you fit into any of these categories, there’s never been a better time to become a member of AFP!

Here is a summary of the three newest membership categories:

Young Professional: Open to individuals who hold some degree of responsibility directly for fundraising and are 30 years old or younger. $75 annual fee includes chapter dues.

Small Organization: Open to nonprofit organizations with an operating budget of less than $1,000,000; a fundraising department with less than two (2) full time equivalent (FTE) staff;  individually incorporated or otherwise organized as a separate entity in the laws of the specific country; and not affiliated with a larger institution supporting its operations.  The organization will designate one fundraising professional to receive professional member benefits.  The membership may be transferred to another individual if the original member leaves the organization.  $150 annual fee includes chapter dues.

Large Organization: Open to nonprofit organizations that wish to have multiple members in AFP.  The organization will designate a minimum of eight (8) individuals to receive Professional member benefits.  These memberships may be transferred to other individuals within the organization if the original member leaves the organization. Pricing starts at $2,000 for eight members and discounts increase for more memberships.

Full Professional memberships in AFP remain affordably priced at $250 (plus $50 for Greater Milwaukee Chapter dues).  AFP-Greater Milwaukee Chapter reminds all local fundraisers that there are membership scholarships available for anyone who needs assistance paying the full price of a membership.
